U.S. & Canada Printers Invited to RYOBI MHI Open House May 7-8 in Metro Atlanta

MARIETTA, Georgia—The 8-up RYOBI 920 series press with built-in LED-UV instant curing technology will be shown in continuous live demonstrations May 7-8, 2014, at the RYOBI MHI North American Demonstration Center in metro Atlanta.

Print service providers intent on modernizing their sheetfed offset equipment are strongly encouraged to attend—as are printers who want to learn more about the total financial return of new generation, high-technology offset presses versus pay-per-click toner-based presses.

Demonstrated at the RYOBI MHI open house will be the RYOBI 925 LED-UV press and the ultra-modern Cron CTP system.  Detailed ROI analyses of RYOBI presses will also be presented.  The RYOBI MHI North American Demonstration Center is located at Paper Handling Solutions, 2150 New Market Pkwy, Suite 108, Marietta, GA.

Paper Handling Solutions is one of six North American master distributors of Ryobi printing equipment.  Other members of Graphic Systems North America are: Print & Finishing Solutions, G.E. Richards, Graphco, KBR Graphics Canada and Canadian Printing Equipment.  GSNA is the only U.S. and Canada-wide distributor of RYOBI MHI presses and print technologies.

Printers who’ve installed the RYOBI 920 series press confirm it’s the most advanced, most cost-efficient 8-up offset press on the market today.  The RYOBI 920 series is available in up to 10 colors with LED-UV instant cure, inline UV or aqueous coaters, convertible perfector and fully automatic simultaneous plate changers.  Speeds top 16,200 sph.

“When we were first looking at the RYOBI 925 with LED-UV instant cure, we really put it through the paces with very technically challenging jobs, from onion skin to thick plastics.  This press did everything perfectly,” said Pierre Methot, co-owner of 20-employee Imprimerie Reflet of Montreal. The press accommodates up to 24-point board with ease. “Instant curing of 8-up print at more than 16,000 sph gives us a significant competitive edge.”

Methot’s company installed the RYOBI 925 LED-UV press in December 2013.  It produces print at an extremely low cost-per-page, making Imprimerie Reflet highly price competitive with large web-to-print companies, said co-owner Real Daviau.  The company also handles extra-high-quality jobs for a large Internet-based printer.

Ryobi’s largest presses—the 8-up 920 series, the 6-up 750 series and the 2-up 520 series—each are available with convertible perfector and aqueous or UV coater.

All RYOBI presses deliver proven, state-of-the-art automation, extremely quick makereadies, unmatched reliability and the lowest total ownership cost in their class.  All have among the most affordable acquisition cost in their class.  In addition to the RYOBI 920 series press discussed above, GSNA markets and sells:

  •  RYOBI 750 series press:  The 6-up press available in up to 10 colors and runs at up to 16,000 sph.  Its ability to handle up to 31-pt. board and synthetic stocks also makes it ideal for package printing.
  •  RYOBI 520 series press:  The 2-up press is available in up to 6 colors and runs at up to 15,000 sph. It’s a sought-after offset press for smaller commercial shops and in-plant printing operations.
  •  RYOBI LED-UV INSTANT CURING SYSTEM:  This proven, state-of-the-art instant drying technology, co-developed with Panasonic, is available on the RYOBI 920, 750 and 520 series presses.  Even at top production speeds, print is completely dry immediately upon delivery and synthetic substrates do not shrink.  Energy usage and cost is cut up to 80% versus conventional dryers and no spray powders or special ducting is needed.
  •  RYOBI UV CASTING AND FOILING SYSTEM: Used with the RYOBI 750G series, this technology enables inline production of a large variety of high-value specialty and security printing, including hologram effects and foiling.

“RYOBI MHI delivers the right mix of technologies that profit-driven printers require today,” explained Don Barbour, co-founder of GSNA and owner of Paper Handling Solutions.

“High-speed printing and perfecting.  Fully automatic simultaneous plate changing.  Instant drying.  Automated digital workflows.  Push-button color and registration adjustment.  Compact press footprints.  Important environmental advances.  Lowest total print production cost.  When you put it all together, RYOBI MHI delivers precisely what printers need to succeed—now and into the future.”
