Graphco Promotes Refresh Your Press with LED-UV Technology at Print UV Conference
RMGT customers meet to share their success stories
Solon, OH – February 14, 2019 — The 2019 Print UV conference, to be held March 27-29, at the Encore Las Vegas, will mark the beginning of Graphco’s Refresh Your Press sales campaign to bring the advantages of LED-UV curing to both new RMGT press buyers and also to owners of other brands of sheet-fed offset presses. With over 20 new LED-UV equipped RMGT presses installed throughout the Midwest and 27 LED-UV lamps total, Graphco’s Refresh Your Pressprogram will now bring the advantages of LED-UV curing to even more customers. One unique feature of this program is a direct upgrade stream for customers who add LED-UV to their existing press and then later purchase a new RMGT offset press.
“This is the fifth year in a row that we have been in Las Vegas for Print UV,” said Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “It is a great chance to spread the word about the benefits of LED-UV technology and since so many Graphco customers attend every year, this event has become a gathering point for many of our friends.” Beginning in 2014, Graphco’s customers who order a new RMGT press with LED-UV can attend Print UV as a guest. “We felt that having more informed customers would lead to faster and more seamless adoption of Best Practices in LED-UV curing. Now many of our friends attend Print UV every year.”
2019 marks the 11thanniversary of LED-UV curing technology for sheet-fed offset printing (first shown at DRUPA 2008) and RMGT was the first manufacturer to offer fully integrated LED-UV curing systems as a factory installed option. Since 2008, LED-UV has become the most prevalent and main stream energy curing solution on the market with well in excess of 500 installations worldwide. “With 20 LED-UV equipped RMGT presses running all over the Midwest we are seeing many success stories unfold,” comments Gary Greis, Regional Sales Manager for Graphco. “Our customers have used their RMGT Unfair Advantage in various ways. Some through introducing new coatings and production of plastics, some through offering folding carton and specialty stocks and many through offering a much more efficient production workflow that opens new doors.”
Beginning in 2018 Graphco and GEW (EC) Limited entered into an exclusive distribution agreement and Graphco is now offering GEW’s LED-UV curing systems on many of their new RMGT press installations. GEW LED-UV curing systems are also available on legacy Ryobi offset presses as well as other brands of sheet-fed offset presses. “Our partnership with Graphco is off to a great start with 5 new GEW LED-UV equipped presses installed and one more coming in February,” states Gary Doman, International Sales Manager for GEW. “The Graphco team has built a great brain trust of LED-UV experience with so many installations in so many market segments.”
2019 marks the fourth year that the RMGT Elite User Group will meet on the afternoon before the Print UV conference convenes, and again this year both RMGT and non-RMGT printers will be welcome to attend this event. “Last year’s meeting allowed a number of current and prospective RMGT users to learn more about our technology and the networking opportunity was outstanding.
